Plugged IN Terms & Conditions

These are the terms and conditions for the Plugged IN Programme. By registering for and using your Plugged IN Points account you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions unless the context otherwise requires:

  • "Plugged IN Reward", "Plugged IN Loyalty Programme, "Plugged IN Programme" or "programme" means the loyalty programme operated by Ideal Electrical and its agents for the business/trade customers of Ideal Electrical Suppliers Limited.
  • "Plugged IN Points" means the units accrued and redeemed by the member in the Plugged IN Programme.
  • "Ideal Electrical" means the trading name of Ideal Electrical Suppliers Limited (Ideal) with which the members have an account.
  • "Ideal Leadership Team" means a group of appointed decision makers within Ideal Electrical as determined by Ideal Electrical from time to time.
  • "Reward" is a goods, service or entitlement for a goods or services obtained by the redemption of Plugged IN Points pursuant to these Terms and Conditions.
  • "Plugged IN Programme Manager" means the person who oversees and manages the Plugged IN Rewards Programme as appointed by Ideal Electrical from time to time.
  • "Rewards Supplier" means the supplier of a Reward as appointed by the Plugged IN programme manager from time to time.
  • "Terms and Conditions" means these terms and conditions and any other terms and conditions referred to in these Terms and Conditions which are deemed to form part of these Terms and Conditions.
  • "we", "us", "our", or "Plugged IN" means Ideal Electrical Suppliers Limited (Ideal)
  • "you" or "your" or "member" means the person in whose name we have opened a Plugged IN programme account.

Access to the Plugged IN Programme

  • Membership is offered to our business/trade customers by Ideal Electrical and exclude Ideal Electrical employees.
  • You must have an eligible trade account with Ideal Electrical and meet the minimum spend requirement of $15,000 to have access to the Plugged IN Programme.
  • You may be excluded by us from time to time. Access is subject to the Terms and Conditions and any rules, policies or procedures that may be adopted or varied by us from time to time.
  • Access to the Plugged IN Programme may only be assigned or otherwise transferred to another person or entity at our sole discretion.

Plugged IN Points

  • Plugged IN members as at the commencement of 1 April 2021, will have their current Travel Miles balance converted to Plugged IN Points.
  • You may not redeem, sell, convert, exchange, assign or otherwise transfer Plugged IN Points for cash or any other consideration unless expressly permitted under these Terms and Conditions or approved by the Plugged IN Programme Manager in writing.

Accrual of Plugged IN Points

  • Members will be tiered Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum based on their annual spend with Ideal and will earn Plugged IN Points. This will be at different earn rates depending on the purchase value accumulated progressively during the year within each tier.
  • Minimum spend required $15,000 at the commencement of the programme.
  • All purchase requirements are expressed exclusive of GST.
  • Bronze - For purchases between $15,000 to $59,999 during the relevant year, Plugged IN Points will accumulate at an earn rate of 1.5% of the purchases.
  • Silver - For purchases between $60,000 to $199,999 during the relevant year, Plugged IN Points will accumulate at an earn rate of 2.5% of the purchase.
  • Gold - For purchases between $200,000 to $349,999 during the relevant year, Plugged IN Points will accumulate at an earn rate of 2.75% of the purchase.
  • Platinum - For purchases above $350,000+ during the relevant year, Plugged IN Points will accumulate at an earn rate of 3% of the purchase.
  • Plugged IN Points will be allocated but not activated as invoices are raised on the members' trade account(s). Plugged IN Points will only be available to be used by the member when activated. Activation will occur when the invoices relating to those Plugged IN Points have been paid in full and the information is processed by the Plugged IN Programme.
  • Where a member is in consistent breach of their trading terms with Ideal Electrical, Ideal Electrical reserve the right to revoke that member's Plugged IN Points. Any invoice which has been unpaid for over 90 days will not be eligible to accrue Plugged IN Points, whether or not such an invoice is subsequently paid.
  • Plugged IN reserves the right to withhold accrual of Plugged IN Points where special pricing has been negotiated with the member.
  • The Plugged IN Programme reserves the right, at any time without notice, to introduce new ways of accruing Plugged IN Points, to discontinue any or all of the current ways and to include or exclude specific types of transactions from accruing Plugged IN Points, to vary the purchases required and the earn rate percentage and to apply different earn rates to each member.
  • Expiration of Plugged IN Points
  • Plugged IN reserves the right to deduct from a member's Plugged IN Points balance:

Our Liability

  • Plugged IN and the Programme Manager and Ideal Electrical make no representations in relation to the tax consequences of membership in the Plugged IN Programme. The member must not rely upon statements or representations that may be made.
  • Neither Plugged IN, the Programme Manager nor Ideal Electrical accepts any liability for any current or future taxation requirement that may be imposed on any member.
  • To the full extent permitted by law, Plugged IN, the Programme Manager, Ideal Electrical and their agents and contractors exclude all liability for any loss, damage, claim, injury, cost or expense suffered or incurred by any person in connection with the Plugged IN Programme or Rewards, including, but not limited to:
  1. any indirect, economic or consequential loss;
  2. any loss arising from the negligence of Plugged IN;
  3. any liability for personal injury or death.
  • Plugged IN, the Programme Manager, Ideal Electrical and their agents and contractors assume no responsibility for:
  1. any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) Plugged IN or any member whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise; or
  2. any theft, destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of such communications; or
  3. any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system or other equipment used for the conduct of the Plugged IN Programme.

Your Obligations

  • Members must take their own legal and accounting advice in relation to their membership in the Plugged IN Programme, in particular in relation to current and future tax consequences of being a member of the Plugged IN Programme and of redeeming Rewards.
  • Members are responsible to pay all tax imposed in relation to the membership of the Plugged IN Programme and of redeeming Rewards.

Disputes

  • Plugged IN are not liable for any refusal by third party Rewards Suppliers to redeem Plugged IN Points for Rewards, however, you should let us know if this occurs.
  • In the case of any dispute and/or any matters pertaining to this programme, the decision of Plugged IN and Ideal Electrical will be final.
  • If you disagree with any details of your Plugged IN Points balance you should contact the Programme manager in the first instance. We will investigate your disagreement and report back to you with the result of our investigation as soon as practicable. If we establish that a mistake did occur, we will correct it.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Plugged IN Points redemption values shown on the Plugged IN Rewards section of www.idealpluggedin.co.nz may be subject to change without notice at any time.
  • Plugged IN reserve the right to change the claim or redemption procedures at any time. All members will be advised of any changes if/when they occur.

Our Suspension or Cancellation of your Membership

  • There may be circumstances where we may suspend or cancel your Plugged IN account without prior notice. An example is where we suspect fraud on your Plugged IN account.

Changes to or Termination of your Membership of the Plugged IN Rewards Programme

  • With notice - Plugged IN may cancel the programme or close your Plugged IN account at any time upon 30 days' notice. All accrued Plugged IN Points must be redeemed within the notice period. Neither we nor any Rewards Supplier will be liable to you for Plugged IN Points which are not redeemed by the end of the notice period.
  • Without notice - Plugged IN may terminate membership of the Plugged IN Programme, without notice and for any reason, including if the member:
  1. fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions; or
  2. supplies any misleading information or makes any misrepresentations to Plugged IN in connection with the Plugged IN Programme; or
  3. abuses any privilege accorded to the member under the Plugged IN Programme; or
  4. does not use his or her Ideal Electrical account for a consecutive period of 12 months; or
  5. does not spend at Ideal Electrical or its subsidiaries; or
  6. dies or becomes bankrupt; or
  7. is placed into liquidation or receivership; or
  8. directly or indirectly provides competitor of Ideal Electrical or to any other person not nominated or approved by The Rewards Manager access to the Plugged IN Programme or any information about the programme.
  • Plugged IN may substitute or replace the programme with another rewards programme operated by Ideal Electrical or its related or associated companies and have the member's balance transferred to the new programme.

Closure by you of your Plugged IN account

  • You may close your Plugged IN account at any time. To do this you must notify us in writing or by phone of the closure.
  • Upon closure, Plugged IN Points accrued to the date of closure will be forfeited by you.

If You Cease Trading

  • Where a member ceases trading, enters into an arrangement with creditors or is placed in statutory receivership or liquidation or declared bankrupt, then Plugged IN Points will only be able to be redeemed if any monies owing to Ideal Electrical or its related companies are paid in full within the agreed trading terms. If full payment is not received within the agreed trading terms the Plugged IN Points will be forfeited.

Statements and Notices

  • Members will be sent a monthly email statement showing how many Plugged IN Points have been accrued and/or redeemed.
  • Members agree to receive notifications and provide any information related to the programme. Members may opt out of receiving notifications related to the programme by written request directed to: Plugged IN Programme Manager, Plugged IN, P.O. Box 331635, Takapuna, Auckland 0740.
  • We will not be responsible for correspondence lost or delayed through mail or email. You are responsible for advising us of any change of email or address.

Confidentiality of Your Information

  • Personal information about members may be collected by Plugged IN. This information will be used by Plugged IN for marketing purposes, planning and research. Members may, under the provisions of the Privacy Act 1993, request access to and have corrected their personal information held by Plugged IN. These requests must be in writing.
  • Members' names and details may be used by Plugged IN for promotional purposes and the member agrees to participate in any publicity that Plugged IN may reasonably require.
  • We may also use the information to advise you of products, services and goods relating to Plugged IN or our other products and services.
  • We may disclose any or all of the member's information to any Rewards Supplier or other organisation associated with the programme for the promotional, research or marketing purposes of those Rewards Supplier or other organisations.
  • If you do not want to receive promotional materials from us at any time, you can tell us and we will not send it. For promotional materials sent by any Rewards Supplier or other organisation associated with the programme, please contact the relevant entity directly.
  • When you are dealing with us by telephone your call may be recorded for verification or training purposes.

Plugged IN GoodyBag & GoodyBag Plus - (GoodyBag)

  • Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus membership is by invitation only, at the sole discretion of Ideal Electrical.
  • The Programme Manager reserves the right to change or amend Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus, the programme access structure and terms and conditions at any time without notice.
  • The Programme Manager reserves the right to cancel Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus at any time. Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus members will be notified in advance if this occurs.
  • Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus members will earn and retain access based on the rules set out by The Programme Manager.
  • Plugged IN GoodyBag members will only have access to one Plugged IN GoodyBag membership. Plugged IN Goody Plus members will have access to purchase additional users.
  • Your Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus access is available for 12 months from the date on your Welcome email, which includes your login details.
  • Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus gives you access to benefits and offers across New Zealand and Australia and offers are available to be redeemed as often as you wish during the 12-month period.
  • Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus offers are exclusive and may not be combined with other discount programmes. If in doubt, please check with the merchant before using.
  • As a member of Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus, you must be an active member of Ideal Plugged IN.
  • In the case of any dispute and/or any matters pertaining to Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus, the decision of The Programme Manager will be final.
  • All instructions on Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus literature, forms part of Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus rules and conditions. Participation in Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus is deemed as acceptance of these rules and conditions.
  • The Programme Manager may terminate membership of Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus without notice and for any reason, including if the member:
  1. fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions; or
  2. supplies any misleading information or makes any misrepresentations to The Programme Manager in connection with Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus; or
  3. abuses any privilege accorded to the member under Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus; or
  4. is terminated as a trading customer of Ideal Electrical
  5. falls outside of their Ideal Electrical trading terms
  • You may close your Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus account at any time. To do this you must notify the Ideal Plugged IN team in writing of the closure.
  • You agree to receive Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus electronic communications (statements and service notifications) and provide information related to the effective delivery of your Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus service.
  • The Programme Manager will not be responsible for lost or delayed correspondence through your email/mail. You are responsible for advising us of any change of email or address.
  • Personal information about members may be collected by Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus. This information may be used by Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus for marketing purposes, planning and research. Members may, under the provisions of the Privacy Act 1993, request access to and have corrected their personal information held by Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus. These requests must be in writing.
  • Plugged IN GoodyBag (standard subscription):
  1. All Plugged IN members will have access to the GoodyBag standard subscription.
  2. Bronze members will only have access to 1 x free GoodyBag subscription and will be unable to upgrade to GoodyBag Plus.
  3. Bronze members who move up a tier by 28 February 2022, will be given a free upgrade to GoodyBag Plus for 1 Year, paid for by Ideal Electrical Suppliers.
  4. Members who move up a tier after 28 February 2022, will be able to redeem Plugged IN Points to upgrade to GoodyBag Plus.
  • Plugged IN GoodyBag Plus (plus subscription):
  1. At launch of Plugged IN GoodyBag, Silver, Gold and Platinum members will receive 1 x GoodyBag Plus Subscription, free for 1 year (12 months), paid for by Ideal Electrical Suppliers (introductory offer is valid until 28 February 2022).
  2. Members can open additional user subscriptions using Plugged IN Points.
  3. 1 Year (12 months) after launch of Plugged IN GoodyBag, members who wish to renew their GoodyBag Plus subscription are required to redeem Plugged IN Points for another year’s subscription.
  4. If a member in GoodyBag Plus moves down to Bronze, they will be downgraded to GoodyBag (standard subscription).
  • Rebate & Buying Group members:
  1. Members are excluded from the Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus tiering criteria set for Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus.
  2. Members will be considered for Plugged IN GoodyBag/Plus on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of Ideal Electrical Suppliers.

Rewards

  • Plugged IN offers a variety of Rewards in the Plugged IN online catalogue. The range and types of the Rewards will change from time to time without notice at the discretion of Plugged IN.
  • Each Reward has a brief product description and displays the number of Plugged IN Points required to be redeemed for that Reward. The Plugged IN Points for rewards will change from time to time without notice at the discretion of Plugged IN

Conditions to individual Rewards

  • Conditions may apply to individual Rewards, and in such cases, the use of that item may be subject to further specific terms and conditions made by the third party supplier. These details and/ or, a link to a third party suppliers terms, may be provided in the product description. Please note:
  1. All Gift Cards and Vouchers are subject to the retailer's terms and conditions and usually include an expiry date or validity period.
  2. Certain conditions may be enforced by the suppliers, for example travel or experience related products may impose date and time restrictions.
  3. Select products are subject to third party end user licences and regulations.
  4. Legislative restrictions apply to the selling, supply and obtaining of classified products.
  • In New Zealand, under the Films, Videos, and Publications Classification Act 1993 it is illegal to sell, hire, show or give a restricted (red labelled) film or game to anyone under the age shown on the label (unless an exception is stated on the label) (‘Classified Product').
  • By ordering a ‘Classified Product' in New Zealand you warrant that you are:18 years of age or older and if you order rewards that are classified "Restricted 18", "Restricted 16", "Restricted 15" or "Restricted 13" that they will not be given to anyone under the specified restricted age.
  • In New Zealand under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 it is illegal to sell/supply alcohol to someone under the age of 18 years. By ordering Alcohol you warrant that you are 18 years of age or older.

Points + Pay

  • Select Rewards can be ordered using Points+Pay. For those items, the product description displays the minimum number of Plugged IN Points that are required to be redeemed and the amount of money to be paid. Reward exclusions for Points+Pay apply and are at the discretion of Plugged IN.
  • The member is required to have a minimum of 75% of the point value of the reward.

Donations

  • From time to time members may redeem Plugged IN points for Plugged IN to make a monetary donation to a specified charity.
  • Plugged IN will pay the monetary amount to the specified charity within 90 days of redemption.
  • Pursuant to tax laws, members are not entitled to a tax invoice, tax receipt or tax deduction for redeeming Plugged IN points for Plugged IN to make a monetary donation to a charity.

Availability

  • All Rewards are offered subject to availability. Redeeming your Plugged IN points for a reward, does not guarantee the reward is available.
  • Plugged IN reserves the right to refuse to provide any reward, terminate, remove, edit content or cancel orders (or part thereof) at Plugged IN's discretion at any time.
  • Without limiting the operation of any other Terms herein, Plugged IN will not be held liable for loss or damage arising from the exercise of these rights.
  • Where a Reward ordered is no longer available or out of stock, Plugged IN reserve the right to replace it with a Reward of equivalent value. If a Reward ordered is on backorder the member will be notified within a reasonable amount of time and, where possible, be advised of an estimated date of delivery.

Delivery

  • It is the Member's responsibility to ensure the delivery address provided is correct at the time of ordering. Should the address be incorrect or incomplete, re-delivery may incur an additional freight and handling fee charged to the member. Plugged IN is not obliged to re send the order to the correct address at Plugged INs' expense, nor is Plugged IN liable for any loss to a Member due to incorrect or incomplete address details being provided by the Member.
  • When ordering multiple rewards at the same time, each reward may be delivered by a different third party supplier and be delivered on different dates.
  • Where a delivery is unsuccessful a representative or third party supplier of Plugged IN may contact the member or named recipient to provide advice about the unsuccessful delivery and arrange to re-deliver the item. Members and recipients are required to provide reasonable assistance to facilitate re-delivery. Re-delivery may incur an additional postage and handling fee.
  • Where an unsuccessful delivery is returned to the third party supplier, Plugged IN will refund the reward item/s less all freight fees and if applicable restocking fees to the member.

Dead on Arrival (DOA)

  • Before signing to receive your reward delivery, visually inspect your reward package. If there is any exterior damage, please sign for the package with DOA. If the reward subsequently turns out to be damaged, notify Plugged IN to organise a replacement. Plugged IN will advise what to do with the damaged reward which may include returning the item to the third party supplier, where the member is required to provide reasonable assistance to facilitate collection.
  • A limited amount of time is available for submitting DOA claims and varies between third party suppliers. Plugged IN requires members to test the item within 24 hours of delivery for it to be eligible as DOA. After this period faulty items may not be considered DOA by the third party suppliers terms and conditions and will instead be covered under the manufacturers warranty which may carry different terms for shipping and repair.

Faulty Product

  • All manufacturers' warranties shall be valid where applicable, however the Plugged IN accepts no liability for damaged, lost or faulty goods other than their obligations under the Fair Trading Act 1986, the Consumers Guarantees Act 1993 or otherwise as required by law.
  • If an item obtained through Plugged IN is faulty, the member is required to notify Plugged IN as soon as reasonably possible of the issue and provide a detailed description of fault and supporting photos. Plugged IN will advise the steps for assessment and any subsequent repair, replacement or refund as per the third party suppliers terms and conditions. The member is responsible for organising the item to be sent to the designated address for assessment and any associated costs including packing and delivery. At the conclusion of the assessment, if it is deemed not to be covered under the manufacturers warranty, the member is responsible for all costs including but not limited to any assessment fees, repairs and return delivery of the item.

Incorrect Item Delivered from Order Placed

  • Where the member receives a short-shipment, over-shipment and or incorrect item to the order placed, member is required to notify Plugged IN within 48 hours. Plugged IN where applicable, will organise the collection of item/s and the member is required to make the item/s available for collection, and Plugged IN where applicable will organise the resupply of item/s to the member. Any associated costs in correcting an order are the responsibility of Plugged IN.

Incorrect Order by Member or Change of Mind

  • Member is required to choose carefully. Where the member orders the incorrect item or changes their mind, Plugged IN and its third party suppliers are not obliged to exchange or refund item under the Consumers Guarantees Act 1993.
  • The member must contact Plugged IN within 7 days of delivery and the item must be in the same original condition with all accessories and any instruction manuals and in the original packaging as received by the member.
  • Plugged IN will advise whether the item is eligible for return and subsequent exchange or refund. If return is accepted by the third party supplier, member is responsible for organising the item to be sent to the designated address and any associated costs including packing, delivery and restocking fee (if applicable). Where an exchange is requested, the member will be responsible for the delivery costs for the replacement item.

Obtaining Rewards with your Plugged IN Points

  • Plugged IN Points can only be redeemed for the Rewards displayed in the Plugged IN Rewards Catalogue, accessible via the website www.idealpluggedin.co.nz. Other Rewards may be made available from time to time and will be notified to members.
  • By claiming a Reward, you authorise us to deduct the number of Plugged IN Points set out in the Plugged IN Rewards Catalogue from your Plugged IN Points balance, with the oldest Plugged IN Points being deducted first.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties or representations either express or implied and expressly disclaim any and all liabilities (including liability for consequential damages) with respect to type, quality, standard, fitness or suitability for any purpose of all Rewards provided under the Plugged IN Programme except those Rewards which are to be provided by us (in which case our relevant terms and conditions will apply). Any warranty claims should be directed to the Rewards Supplier who provided the Reward.
  • All Rewards are provided subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Rewards Supplier. All returns and refunds of Rewards are subject to each Rewards Supplier's own return and refund policy.
  • All Rewards will be delivered to the representative of the member indicated on the registration form and/or Plugged IN Points account. The member is responsible for the notification of any change to the representative and distribution of the Rewards in line with its own internal policy/directives.
  • Rewards will be supplied within 10 working days of the confirmed order to the specified delivery address on the order, unless the Reward ordered is no longer available, out of stock or on backorder. Plugged IN will be responsible for dispatching Rewards to the members but accepts no responsibility if the Rewards are misplaced or lost in transit.

Redemption of Plugged IN Points

  • Activated Plugged IN Points may be redeemed at any time subject to members following the correct redemption procedures. No minimum Plugged IN Points threshold will be imposed, however minimum purchase order quantities may be applicable on some Rewards.
  • Received orders are confirmed only when the member's Plugged IN Points balances are verified and the order is processed.
  • Plugged IN Points will only be able to be redeemed if the member fully complies with the trading conditions agreed with Ideal Electrical and its trade accounts with Ideal Electrical are not in arrears. Ideal Electrical reserve the right to cancel the member's Plugged IN Points at any time if payment is not made in accordance with the agreed trading terms.
  • The Plugged IN Points required to redeem any Reward is subject to change. If such a change occurs after a member has ordered the relevant Reward, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the member as soon as possible. However, in the event the member cannot be reasonably contacted, Plugged IN reserves the right to cancel the order.
  • Handling fees may apply for fulfilment of goods or services not already part of the programme.

Miscellaneous

  • All Plugged IN Programme enquiries must be directed to Plugged IN on Free Phone 0800 437 392, or via the website www.idealpluggedin.co.nz.
  • Instructions appearing on any and all programme literature form part of the Terms and Conditions.
  • The laws of New Zealand govern the Plugged IN Programme and these Terms and Conditions.
