Team Ideal and it’s families are looking forward to being actively involved in some of the planned Sustainable Coastlines events. Either a beach cleanup or tree-planting day which will not only be good for nature, but good for our own well being. Getting out into nature connects us with the issues that Aotearoa is facing around plastic in the environment and pollution in our waterways. With education, awareness and solutions that we can take back to our everyday life to help us be more sustainable tomorrow than we are today

Kiwi icon Mike King has identified the problem and instigated the I AM HOPE Youth Ambassador Program. This nationwide program hopes to put ambassadors in schools to act as a trusted pathway to professional help. The Ideal Foundation, supported by Philips Lighting, is behind Mike and his focus on Kiwi kids. Proceeds from this fitting go to the Ideal Foundation, which supports Mike and his vision of youth ambassadors.

Mental health impacts everyone and the I am Hope Foundation has kindly provided some material to support the wider Ideal family.  You can find resources about the I Am Hope foundation and its works at all Ideal Electrical stores. As part of our partnership with Mike King and I Am Hope/Gumboot Friday, the Ideal Foundation is able to provide access to free counselling for any young person in New Zealand aged 25 and under, which includes our Ideal Team and their relatives. Pick your preferred counsellor from their team of professionals. They are ready to listen and support you, and it won’t cost a thing.
