The DC Surge Protection Module Kit is a DC surge protection (type II) adaptor kit for the SMA Sunny Tripower Core1 (STP 50-40 inverters). DC surge protection is necessary to protect electrical equipment against voltage surges. Also called overvoltage and lightning is a well-known example of this.
